感謝主，我的父親在2011年10月9日的教會禮拜中蒙恩得救，接受了主耶穌做他生命的救主。
我和太太在12年前信主，當時向父親傳福音時，父親總是說哪有什麽神？當時我覺得要父親接受耶穌肯定是一件難成的事，因為父親在來新西蘭之前在中國大陸是共產黨員，堅定的馬列主義，唯物無神論者。幾年過去了，有一個禮拜天在教會，母親因著天使向她顯現而接受了主耶穌做她生命的救主。父親的態度也已經從徹底的無神論轉向了尋求神存在的科學證據，可是卻始終不能尋得。
今年我們教會的陳牧師憑著信心在教會里開展了生命冊的活動，讓每個弟兄姐妹把自己所愛但還沒信主的人的名字寫到生命冊上，然後每個弟兄姐妹人手一本按照這個名冊來向神祈求禱告。我當然把我的父親列到了生命冊上。感謝主，神在生命冊的當中透過父親的轉變讓我更加認識和看到了禱告的力量。生命冊建立后，父親積極地參加禮拜二的國語小組，積極地讀聖經。他的態度已經從被動地接受福音信息轉向了主動尋求神。可惜他還是始終不能踏出接受新生命的一步，他甚至說：“我也很想信主，可是我還是不能確信耶穌就是唯一的真神。”我知道這個時候旁人講再多的道理和見證都不能真正地說服父親，只有通過禱告把父親交到神的手裡。事情的發展令人感到鼓舞，父親信主了！其實到現在我也還不知道是什麽原因令父親踏出這一步，不過這對我來說已經不再重要，重要的是父親得到了永生的祝福和神向我顯現祂的信實！
現在回想當時覺得父親信主難成的想法可真是大錯特錯，神用事實向我顯明他愛我們每一個人，在祂沒有難成的事！弟兄姐妹讓我們繼續為我們所愛的人的得救來向神祈求禱告，直到福音傳遍地極！
(Praise God for my father’s salvation. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Saviour on 9th Oct 2011. Twelve years ago, my wife and I became Christians. We tried to share the gospel with my father. Initially, it was hard for him to contemplate that God even exist as he’s been taught from young by the Chinese Communist Party that there is no God. A few years later, my mother accept Christ during a Sunday service. Since then, we have seen a change of his attitude to “If there’s a God, give me the scientific proof.” Earlier this year, Pastor Fankun has started a movement called ‘book of life’ where we put the names of our unsaved loved ones into a book. Everyone participating in the movement has a copy of these names and we all commit to pray regularly for those in the list. Praise the Lord for the power of prayer. Gradually, I see the change in my father. He started to diligently seek the Lord through reading His word and attending bible study (Mandarin life group). However, he still had reservations whether Jesus is the only way. I knew at this point that no more reasoning or testimonies could be able to convince him and the only way forward is through the power Holy Spirit through my prayers. Finally the breakthrough came, my father accepted Christ! I used to think it’s impossible for my father to come to know the Lord. Through my father’s story, I have come to realize that God truly loves each one of us, and nothing is impossible with God. My brothers and sisters, let us continue to uphold our love ones in prayer, till His gospel is spread to the ends of the earth!)

Just to give thanks to God for answering our prayer request so quickly! As the sale of our current house had already gone unconditional, we desperately needed the bank to approve the loan for our new house or else we could not go ahead with the purchase and we would be without a place to stay!! Anyway, after typing down our prayer request, the bank came back to us on the same day that we were able to go ahead with the purchase, so that everything is all well and we can get on with our move soon. Praise God for the answering our prayer. He always know our needs and provide us with what we need and not what we want. We really want to praise God and give Thanks to his faithfulness and provision throughout this 7 months of stress and emotional stress of house hunting and cleaning for the open home and also spending money on the builder’s inspection. We can see the hand of God is with us all the way through for the house as we waited for the right buyer to buy our house then with the limited budget to buy the house within our reach is very hard and impossible at these present time but nothing is impossible with God. Only with a little bit of patient and a lot of trust in God’s promises in His word that He will bring us through no matter what circumstance we are in there is always light at the end of the tunnels. (psalm 32:8) The Lord says” I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you” If we belong to God, He never leaves us alone. He remains at our side from the moment of salvation until the moment of our death. He guides us, encourages us, protects us and watches over us. That doesn’t mean we’ll never face hardships, pain or difficulty. But when we face the trouble of the world, He’ll enable us to stand firm in the face of it all. Even if we feel like we’re all alone, He’s there, working in our life and guiding our every step. This fills us with courage to take steps of faith because we know He’s right there. Let’s thank Him for the incredible gift of His presence. Now we really grow much closer to Him in our faith and our trust that He is our Jehovah Jireh and our only God we trust. Amen. We have peace and joy in serving Him in our day to day example to our children and our friends and family too. Praise God !!!!

Hello everyone at Lighthouse. Greetings from London. We want to thank you for your prayers, support and encouragement during this trial time for our family. This is a quick message to thank and glorify God for His faithfulness, love and grace. We would not have lasted the eight days in hospital without God being with us, support from family and friends, and all your prayers. We went through some really hard moments but I believed our God is a God who heals and stands by His promise. Our son was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday 22nd Feb, and is recovering really well at home. He loves being back at home, playing with his toys, and is now always asking for food! His stay at the hospital was not the most pleasant of memories, but this incident will be like a stone of remembrance for us – that God is faithful. You just have to press on even when it’s hard, and when you’ve done all you can, and it still seems like it’s not enough… sit back, and let God take control. He is in charge after all.
