Higher Goals
Ambitious. The definitions of this adjective include: an earnest desire for achievement; having a great desire to do something; something requiring exceptional effort or ability. Not a word normally associated with Christianity – how we view our faith, how we live our Christian lives. But it should be, according to the Apostle Paul (Philippians 3:12–14). We need to seek higher goals in Christ, to press towards them for the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Higher Ambitious Spiritual Goals
What are our spiritual ambitions? What are our higher goals? Identify and reach for higher personal spiritual goals (the main thrust of Philippians 3:12–14). and understand that as a local church we can collectively reach for higher corporate spiritual goals.
Wider Roles
If we are ambitious for Christ, then we should not hold back but stretch out, reaching out for Him. Giving of ourselves, our time, our resources. Sharing life generously. Isaiah 52:2 – Do not spare, lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes. Proverbs 11:24,25 – the generous soul will be made rich.
